Keep updated on why water matters, and how to get involved in the 2026 UN Water Conference.

Water shapes our past, present, and future.

Water is life. It is the foundation for human dignity, for collective stability, and for prosperity. It is the invisible thread connecting everyone and everything, breathing life into our communities, our economies, and our ecosystems.

The 2026 UN Water Conference, Co-Hosted by the UAE and Senegal, will be a global moment of convergence dedicated to implementation and action.

The 2026 UN Water Conference is a pivotal moment.

It is the third global gathering of its kind since 1977, and the first UN Conference dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 6, ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

The UAE and Senegal aspire to convene a Conference where success is measured not only by dialogue, but by practical outcomes. These include knowledge sharing, partnerships, investment, political commitments, and technical solutions that improve lives, restore ecosystems, and expand access to water and sanitation.

We invite the world to join us: innovators and thinkers, catalytic pioneers, leaders from policy and the private sector, and voices from every generation. Together we will place water centre stage, build momentum, and turn inclusive dialogue and co-creation into transformative progress.

Every future flows from water.
Abu Dhabi is where that future is built.
